Not French as J'AIME LES FILLES's title implies, and not female as their name implies, the Clorox Girls are a trio of guys from Portland, Oregon, who are unabashedly rooted in no-frills, romance-obsessed late-1970s/early-'80s punk rock (a la Buzzcocks, Undertones, and Descendents). Sporting a charming hey-ho-let's-go attitude similar to their City of Roses brethren, the late great Exploding Hearts, the band isn't going for innovation, it's just having fun with lively three-chord rock, as evinced on the immediately catchy tunes "Flowers of Evil" and "Straight to My Heart." minimize
