Having made his mark as part of the Wu-Tang affiliated group Sunz of Man, Hell Razah branches out with his own solo release RENAISSANCE CHILD. With a tight underground flow and a barrage of ghetto-life imagery informed by Gnostic philosophy, Hell Razah's sound is evocative of the Wu in its heyday ("I play your skeleton bones like it's a xylophone/For that money my mummy's strapped with a lotta chrome"). RENAISSANCE CHILD succeeds in part due to its impressive guest list (including hi-rollers Talib Kweli, MF Doom, Tragedy Khadafi, R.A. the Rugged Man, Timbo King, and Ras Kass), rugged production team (MF Doom, 4th Disciple, Bronze Nazareth, among others), and the imaginative lyricism of Hell Razah himself. minimize
