Inside the Machine (CD - 2006)

Although This Ending's 2007 release, Inside the Machine, is their debut full-length, three of the group's five members have metal roots that stretch back to the early '90s, as they could be found growling, riffing, and bashing away in a group called A Canorous Quintet. Despite the name change and lineup juggle, Inside the Machine proves that the trio's new outfit is indeed a still-proud flyer of the extreme metal flag. Dark and brutal-sounding throughout, the album kicks off with one of the more interesting riffs to emerge from extreme metal in some time, "Seed of Destruction," before leading to further rapid fire metallic mayhem -- "Pitch Black," "Armageddon," and especially "This Ending." ~ Greg Prato minimize
