Sometimes Just Jack sounds like Beck, sometimes he sounds like the Streets, but OVERTONES stakes out its own territory, thanks to the artist's listen-to-this storytelling and wildy inventive sonic imagination (his pastiches incorporate symphonic pop alongside club-ready beats). The singles "Starz In Their Eyes" and "Glory Days" are standouts, but there's rarely a dull moment on the fun roller coaster of this auspicious debut. minimize
