CHILDREN OF THE WORLD follows the path set by MAIN COURSE, the band's first collaboration with producer Arif Mardin. The Bee Gees pursue a blend of their own unique, Beatles-influenced pop with mid-'70s R&B a la Philly International. The result was a batch of unprecedentedly funky, dance-oriented compositions ("You Should Be Dancing," "You Stepped Into My Life") that sounded as good in the living room (or bedroom, for that matter) as they did on the dance floor. The band's renowned ballad side was still in effect, but here it was bolstered by effective R&B leanings ("Love So Right"). Like MAIN COURSE, CHILDREN OF THE WORLD marks a transitional point between the pure pop of the band's earlier work and the disco superstardom that SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER would soon bring. minimize There are currently no sellers for this product But we can email you when it's available!
