One of the more deliberate grindcore acts currently performing, Sweden's Gadget play with such single-minded force and velocity on their third album, THE FUNERAL MARCH, that their sound becomes a solid mass of aggression, with each chord change sounding as if someone were simply pushing a throttle up and down. Given the trio's mastery over this technique, the group can afford to toy with their sound a bit, moving complex musicianship into simpler, fist-pumping patterns and turning THE FUNERAL MARCH in a more theatrical direction. minimize
