With their new wave-ish power pop sound, highlighted by spooky melodica runs, the Hooters were one of the more interesting bands of the mid-1980s. This collection gathers up all their hits, most of which actually appeared on their 1985 major label debut, Nervous Night. Listeners may be better off picking up that album, although this compilation does have their strong reggae version of the old folk nugget, "500 Miles." ~ Steve Leggett minimize
