Phillips, Craig & Dean have never been ones to get heavy-handed with their inspirational music, approaching the topic of salvation from a thoughtful, vulnerable, often humorous but still awestruck perspective. LET THE WORSHIPPERS ARISE, while more straight-forward and traditional than most of their records (save for its somewhat playful "I'm Making Melody") retains the trio's trademark approach to CCM, which has earned them a sizeable following. Randy Phillips, Shawn Craig, and Dan Dean are all pastors at their respective churches, and one would imagine their services to be--while devotional--unpredictable, zestful, and awash in positivity. LET THE WORSHIPPERS ARISE is suffused with this sort of buoyant spirit; the opening track "Friend of God" starts slow and introspective but quickly builds to a thoroughly catchy climax in its chorus. There are mini-raptures like that throughout the pleasing record, a breezy glorification of the trio's beliefs. LET THE WORSHIPPERS ARISE continues Phillips, Craig & Dean's tradition of enjoyable Christian, country-influenced rock. minimize
