Christian chanteuse Nichole Nordeman's third album follows in the footsteps of her previous two but ups the ante in its direct approach and sophisticated production. The singer has a fine way with inspirational lyrics, never browbeating the listener, and her music is likewise subtle yet catchy, and likely to get under the skin in a most exquisite way.

The opening "Holy" is a likely contender for WOVEN & SPUN's pick hit, with its soaring chorus and upbeat message, but the downtempo "Healed" is more typical of the album, its devotional subject matter combined with a contemporary pop arrangement. Nordeman's obvious faith and musical and lyrical talents are shown to best advantage in the graceful ballad "My Offering," a song of praise that's a summation of her philosophy and a pretty good summation of WOVEN & SPUN's mix of worship music and pop smarts. minimize
