Over the course of two discs, IN A DOGHOUSE collects the band's lesser known early work, their eponymous 1986 debut recording, the following year's CHAINS CHANGED EP, 1985's THE DOGHOUSE CASSETTE and several bonus cuts that were originally composed back in 1983, but not recorded until '96. With all this archival material to delve through, listeners might feel overwhelmed were it not for the organic accessibility of even the most cerebral of Throwing Muses' songs.
