This two-disc collection features many of Frankie Ruiz's hits, including "Lo Dudo," "Hablame," "Que Se Mueran de Envidia," and "La Cura." These songs, along with such tracks as "Quiero Llenarte," "Imposible Amor," and "Me Faltas," define the salsa sensual style that Ruiz helped create. Other highlights include "Para Darte Fuego," "El Camionero," and "Mi Forumula de Amor." While salsa music fans would arguably be better served by checking out Ruiz's individual albums, Oro Salsero: 20 Exitos, Vol. 2 is still a good overview of his later career, and, when taken together with the first volume of his hits, provides a comprehensive look at one of contemporary salsa's leading artists. ~ Heather Phares
The Frankie Ruiz catalog is so in-demand that it merited a second volume of Oro Salsero's 20-tune collection; "Que Se Mueran de Envidia" (difficult to find in the Tommy Olivencia collection) is issued, as well as others that were finally put on a compilation.
