Billboard Rock & Roll Christmas is a collection of holiday tunes by a variety of rock and hard rock acts, nearly all of them original compositions. Selections by the Beach Boys ("Little Saint Nick"), the Kinks ("Father Christmas"), and Dave Edmunds ("Run Rudolph Run") have a strong-'60s pop/rock flavor, and there's humor from Weird Al Yankovic and Cheech & Chong, but the main focus is on rockers like Queen, George Thorogood, Billy Squier, Foghat, and Canned Heat. Some songs are better than others, but overall, it's a nice change of pace from the usual Christmas fare. ~ Steve Huey minimize
