Whether celebrating their blue collar roots, crying them honky tonk blues or living it up while living her down, Brooks & Dunn epitomize the power of modern country pop. Following up on the enthusiastic reception which greeted their debut album BRAND NEW MAN, Brooks & Dunn's HARD WORKIN' MAN is a heady musical mix of whiskey-soaked country ("Heartbroke Out Of My Mind"), western swing ("Texas Women [Don't Stay Lonely Long]"), border town boogie ("Mexican Minutes") and country rock a la Creedence Clearwater ("We'll Burn That Bridge," "Rock My World [Little Country Girl]"). But it is on sorrowful confessionals like their ballads "I Can't Put Out This Fire" and "She Used To Be Mine" that Brooks & Dunn cement their burgeoning reputation for a classic country touch. The spine label for this CD, BROOKS & DUNN 2, is not the name of this album. "Hard Workin' Man" won the 1994 Grammy Award for "Country Duo or Group With Vocal." minimize
