With the enthusiasm of a true believer, Luckman constructs a narrative that, while short on real substance and long on conjecture, is nevertheless an amusing glimpse at the goofier side of rock stardom (and often of rock fans). Entertaining tidbits are revisited along the way, like John Denver's unsuccessful attempt to ride on a Soviet space shuttle, while Michael Jackson's professed desire to do his famous moonwalk on the Moon conjures a more innocent time, before Jackson's public eccentricities took a less savory turn. minimize
