This jacket gets so many things right: it's light, warm, looks good, the fit is a little trim, the black color is matte as opposed to shiny, it has nice details like lined outer pockets, an interior pocket for a mobile phone or mp3 player with a passage for headphones... And yet it lacks a way of keeping the cold air out when it's windy as it has only buttons, not a zipper... Or something...

And yet it lacks a way of keeping the cold air out when it's windy as it has only buttons, not a zipper... Or something equivalent... Those pockets are indeed small so my hands only fit by making a fist... Still, for layering or in places that aren't violently cold and windy, it will do just fine.

Between my husband (whom I first bought the red one for, and then he informed me that he also "needed" a black one - but we ordered TWO black ones for him so that he would have a spare) and his best friend who coveted my husband's jacket so much that he asked us to get him one for Christmas (which we did and it was a red one to match my husbands, and we secretly bought him a black one, too, that we are going to give to him for taking care of our two dogs while we are on our New Year's vacation. This jacket is the perfect weight for winter in the South. It's almost like a sweater weight jacket. Just perfect! All in all, I have bought FIVE of these jackets this Fall!

Nice jacket

He really liked the jacket: weight, color and material, but it was a little too small. Hope I can exchange it for a larger one. Nice Lands End quality and style again.

Excellent design and great price

The design is excellent and give me a surprise based on the price I paid. I would like give 5 stars for its design and the price I paid. Only one thing I am concerned is the rating is warmer. It is supposed to feel warm during temperature around 55 F. But I do not feel warm and have to wear additional shirt inside if outside temperature is around 56 F.. This item only wins 3 stars from me.
