"Death rock" is a term that has largely been lost to the sands of time, long replaced by "goth" in the modern lexicon. Once upon a time, however, California bands like 45 Grave, Christian Death, T.S.O.L., and Burning Image shaped a dark, dilapidated wing of the punk mansion. While many of American goth's originators have long fallen by the wayside, Burning Image has refused to stay buried. 20 years after their last release, FANTASMA finds them in ferocious, bat-winged form.
