At one time or another, blues guitarist Eddie C. Campbell played with almost all of the Chicago blues greats, from Willie Dixon to Little Walter, but he didn't release an album under his own name until 1977's KING OF THE JUNGLE. Since then, his recording career has been musically consistent, but sporadic; TEAR THIS WORLD UP is his first release in 10 years, but it finds Campbell's sound as vital as ever, as his soulful, gritty vocals and precise-but-fluid guitar sound tear into a churning batch of Chicago-style blues with a contemporary twist. minimize
