By turns silly, sad, gleeful, and serious, the Kimya Dawson we meet on REMEMBER THAT I LOVE YOU is the same delightful oddball fans have grown to love. At the same time, there is something a bit more sophisticated at play here. The former Moldy Peach remains folk rock's class clown, but the arrangements of these songs are a little more complex, and Dawson seems more self-aware, more in control of her allusions and haphazard rhymes. A couple of songs continue the more political tone begun on HIDDEN VAGENDA, and "My Rollercoaster" is as fun a song as Dawson has ever recorded. minimize
