This third installment of the TOTALLY COUNTRY series features more appealing hits by the genre's most popular artists. Tim McGraw's uplifting opening song, "Unbroken," precedes the pleading "Cry," by his wife, Faith Hill, revealing a dynamic track listing that flows exceedingly well from song to song. Much of the collection's tone is lyrically upbeat, as evidenced on Martina McBride's "Blessed," Rascal Flatts' "Love You Out Loud," Trick Pony's "On a Mission," and LeAnn Rimes' "Life Goes On." However, not all is sunny on VOL. 3, as melancholy tunes are carefully interspersed throughout, including Randy Travis's "Three Wooden Crosses" and Lonestar's "Not a Day Goes By."
