Similar to other cover band albums by the Big Eye label, A Tribute to Eric Clapton features a number of Eric Clapton's best-known songs performed by a cover band, the Classic Guitar Warriors. There's a total of 12 songs here, most of them acknowledged blues-rock classics. You get early Clapton songs like "White Room" and "Cocaine," as well as latter-day ones like "Tears in Heaven" and "Change the World." It's this balance of old and new that should delight Clapton fans. Note also that these aren't revolutionary covers by any means. The Classic Guitar Warriors don't depart too far from Clapton's original versions, something fans will probably appreciate. ~ Jason Birchmeier minimize
