The second volume of this ongoing collection of rock-based modern worship songs is notable for being just as ecstatic as the first. Featuring such regulars as Matt Redmond, Delirious? and Sonicflood, the collection sings God's praises in eclectic and winning fashion, from the big beat drums of Paul Oakley and Tim Hughes's "Jesus You Alone" to Delirious's downtempo "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever," and Tim Hughes's string-accompanied "Here I Am to Worship."

This two-CD set is divided between studio and live sides, the latter of which rises to several seething climaxes courtesy of an ecstatic crowd and some U2-like anthems by the likes of Sonicflood and Matt Redman. While the sound seems firmly entrenched in the '80s, the timeless nature of the subject matter and the obvious passion of its exponents is ultimately a triumphant combination. minimize
