This is the third in a series of albums featuring songs culled from the catalogs of three major Christian rock labels. Most of them seem to be performed in concert although by whom is unclear. As there are no artist credits, the Lord only knows (pun intended) whether the version of, say, Delirious's "Shout to the North" is actually that estimable band or, as they used to say about BEATLEMANIA, an incredible simulation.
In any case, whoever these various musicians and singers are, they seem as a rule to prefer a sort of country-tinged contemporary folk rock. Change the lyrics of the opening "Rise Up and Praise Him," for example, and you'd have a pretty fair Mary Chapin Carpenter song on your hands. minimize
