I Surrender All: The Clay Crosse Collection may have arrived a little early in Crosse's career -- after all, he had only released three albums, with a fourth on the way -- but it nevertheless is a good summary of his brief, successful career. Two of the 13 songs are "previews" of his forthcoming album, not scheduled for release until 2000, but the remaining 11 songs contain all of his hits, which makes this the ideal choice for casual fans. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine minimize
