Gary Allan's debut, Used Heart for Sale, is a competent set of neo-traditionalist country that occasionally comes to life -- such as on the single "Her Man" -- but often is hampered by unimaginative material and timid performances. Allan's best moments suggest that he is capable of more, yet Used Heart for Sale doesn't give him enough opportunity to stretch out and showcase his talents. ~ Thom Owens minimize
