It is, however, a passable attempt at putting the miracles recorded in the Bible into song. A daunting task, and Dino and the Royal London Orchestra try hard. It isn't really their fault, though; they're doing their best with the arrangements they've been given. The result is bland and tolerable; it's the oatmeal of classical music. The album opens a bit overdramatically with the "Miracles Theme." "The Exodus" is one of the high points of the album; Rick Nelson's vocal a cappella rendition of "Let My People Go" is soulful and the David T. Clydesdale Singers hold his solo up nicely. "Let My People Go" moves into the "Main Theme From Exodus," to which they do justice. "Ezekiel's Bones" is appropriately creepy, while "The Flood" is uneven and incoherent. The album wraps up with "Heaven," but by then you've probably stopped paying attention, which sums up the latter part of the album. ~ Melinda Hill minimize
