Due to the fact that they helped create the whole grunge sound, and that band members went to form such renowned bands as Mudhoney and Pearl Jam, the Green River legend has achieved mythic proportions over the years. But the group only managed to issue a total of three EP's in its short existence. The two mini-albums REHAB DOLL and DRY AS A BONE were previously hard to find in their original pressing. At nearly an hour in length, you'll get a good sampling of this influential band. Highlights include a cover of David Bowie's "Queen Bitch" and the Dead Boys' "Ain't Nothing to Do," as well as such charming originals as "Swallow My Pride," "This Town," and "Unwind." If you like your music born and bred in the garage or in sleazy punk clubs, then you're sure to love DRY AS A BONE/REHAB DOLL. minimize
