Equipped with LATCH, this Eddie Bauer baby seat can also be installed using conventional seatbelts. The carrier handle has a soft foam grip for comfort, and an adjustable canopy with a covered window provides shade for your baby and visibility for you. The length and fit of the Designer 22 car seat?s 5-point harness is easy to adjust in the back of the shell. A lever on the back of the seat allows you to release the seat from the base, and it locks back into the base with just a push and a click. Like all infant carseats today, the Eddie Bauer Designer 22 has a weighted base that the infant carrier locks into. If you must frequently switch your carseat back and forth between several family cars, or find it easier to keep your baby in the infant carrier than take them in and out of a harness, this is the feature for you. The base of the Designer 22 reclines easily into three positions, so you will always have the proper angle for installation. Additional bases are available as well, making it easier to switch the carseat easily between vehicles. Without the base, you can still transfer the carseat from one car to another by using the vehicle's seatbelt - but it is much, much easier to install an infant seat with a base. The no-thread belt path makes buckling the baseless carrier a snap. minimize
