For a regular old petty thief, Charlie Marsh sure has a lot of dangerous individuals after him. And that $500,000 retainer that a magazine editor paid her for defending Marsh--who in a bizarre twist had recently become a bestselling self-help author--in a murder trial seems like slight compensation for the work that Amanda Jaffe is doing on Marsh's behalf.
