Liner Note Author: Robert Pruter. A 25-track collection of the Eldorados' Vee Jay recordings spanning from 1954 to 1958; the southside Chicagoans recorded until 1971, so this isn't a complete overview, but it does contain the tracks from their hottest period. It's titled after their biggest hit, "At My Door (Crazy Little Mama)," which aced the R&B chart and was a number 17 pop hit; the rocker is considered one of the best of its genre of all times. This is '50s Chi-town doo wop at its finest. Featured is their bluesy debut led by the late Pirkle Lee Moses, "My Loving Baby"; their second release, "Annie's Answer," a response to "Work With Me Annie" and "Annie Had a Baby"; and others as good as "At My Front Door" that didn't achieve its success. Collectables omitted the B-side of "Lights are Low" ("Oh What a Girl"), their final Vee Jay single, but that's a micro-matter. Robert Pruter's liner notes enhances the music and makes this truly a collectible. ~ Andrew Hamilton minimize Track ListingAlbum Information
