Cafe Tacuba's album SINO is a unique album in the Mexico City band's evolution. The contemplative "Seguir Siendo" might lead one to believe that they've lost their playful, classic Tacuba touch. However, songs like "53100" and "Volver A Comenzar" still infuse their rock sound with psychedelic, synthesized beats reminiscent of the '80s. And with its homages to the Sex Pistols and the Argentinean duo Sui Generis, SINO begins to veer away from Tabuca's practice of integrating native Mexican influences heard on earlier albums.
