Strengths:It has a cover to protect adjustment buttons from accidental hits that cancel information
Easy to set up your body weight and stride input and also easy to reset. weight and stride as necessary.
Posted Oct 11, 2005 - I purchased three pedometers for my wife, daughter and myself. My wife and I have used ours for 30 days prior to my writing this review. These units are as accurate as you set them up. We had to reset the stride once because of operator error in stride measurement. The instruction booklet is easy to read and understand. We walk every day and find this pedometer a motivator in helping us track our miles, steps, and calories burned.

Strengths:Large numbers, easy to use
Weaknesses:Sometimes miscounts steps
Posted Dec 31, 2004 - I bought this for my mom as a present for Christmas. So far she likes it. It tells you how many steps you take, aerobic steps, and calories/fat burned. THe numbers are big, so they are easy to see. I would recommend this product.

Strengths:Easily programmed, easy to clip on, inexpensive. Gives useful information such as steps counted, distance. Cover keeps buttons from being inadvertently pushed.
Weaknesses:Can be uncomfortable and sometimes adds steps counted if jiggled.
Posted Dec 10, 2004 - Instructions are easy to follow and it's great for keeping track of how many steps you walk each day. I like that it's small and inobtrusive. I don't like that steps are counted when shifting in my chair or if there's bouncing movement but pretty accurate otherwise.

Strengths:It gives you what you basically need: Counts steps, Calculates distance and calories.
Posted Feb 17, 2006 - If you are looking for a basic, more utilitarian unit, this could be your choice. This model has features useful, counting steps, counting aeorbic steps, estimateing distance and estimating calories and fat burned. It has 7-day memory for easier recording of your data, and has a built-in clock. It works great!

Strengths:Very operator-friendly with easy-to-use buttons. Good variety in settings: can see aerobic steps, number of calories burned, and distance walked.
Weaknesses:Difficult to set the sensitivity level to be precise. The pedometer records any and all sorts of bouncing/jouncing movements as steps, even if the cover is opened.
Posted Jul 26, 2004 - I would recommend this pedometer as it is easy-to-use and is great for recording your walking activities each day. Also, it is versatile as it has a time function. Finally, it's very petite with a sturdy clip for your waistband. Overall it's a great tool for anyone who likes to see how active they are each day and/or likes to use each day's progress as motivation for the next day.

Strengths:Easy to program, easy to clip on, inexpensive, large numbers on display, accurate.
Weaknesses:None that I know of.
Posted Aug 21, 2004 - This pedometer was the first I ever used, and I bought this one because of the Omron brand name. The instructions for programming it are easy to follow. The trickiest part is measuring your stride, since you have to have a pretty long tape measure. After that, you test the accuracy of the pedometer by taking 100 steps and seeing what the pedometer counted. It was off by about 17 steps, but it has a handy button to adjust the sensitivity higher or lower. It doesn't work well if you are climbing steps or bouncing when you walk, though. I tested its odometer on my walk to the train station from my office, which I know to be about half a mile, and it recorded the distance as .49 miles, so that's accurate enough for a $15 odometer.
